Val Venegia is located in the north in the Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino Natural Park.
It is a valley of glacial origin with an extraordinarily wild charm. The environmental value is also due to the over 500 species of plants that make the valley, crossed by the Rio Vallazza and the Travignolo stream, an immense and fascinating botanical garden.
The valley can be reached from the Valle di Fiemme and from Primiero a few steps from the visitor centre of the Paneveggio Park. Frome here you follow the signs for Val Venegia and Pian dei Casoni where you can park and then continue on foot along a comfortable road that leads to Malga Venegia.
Anyone wishing to continue can reach Malga Venegiota in half an hour along a landscaped path accompanied by cows, horses and even yaks. The two Malghe offer excellent typical Trentino dishes at moderate prices.
Finally, from Val Venegia it is possible to reach the Baita Segantini, a mountain refuge which symbolizes Trentino on many postcards. A picturesque lake and above all the incredible view of the Pale di San Martino make it a unique and magical place especially for the amazing red sunsets of the Dolomites.
