SAN MARTINO DI CASTROZZA E PRIMIERO
San Martino di Castrozza is a historical site of winter tourism, close to the Passo Rolle, located at 2000 m of altitude.
The area includes the Valle del Primiero and Valle del Vanoi and it is surrounded by the peaks of the Lagorai and of the Dolomites, UNESCO Natural Heritage site, nested in the Paneveggio-Pale di San Martino National Park. In the summer you will be entertained by the countless cultural, music and gastronomical events, together with some events targeted to kids, belonging to the “Family Fun Programme”. Therefore the area is perfect for an active family holiday, with many activities, such as hikes, trekking and excursions by mountain bike or on horseback. You will want to pay a visit to a mountain refuge or cheese farm, to savour the local hospitality and the food products, like cured meat and cheese. During the winter you will be amazed by the enchanting landscapes and the ski mountaineering or snowshoeing in the National Park. The alpine ski lovers will enjoy thanks to the modern ski facilities and over 60 km of ski slopes, where you can ski also during the night, or enjoy cross country trails or snowboarding. The area is particularly suitable for kids, thanks to the presence of playgrounds and kid-oriented activities.
In de winter biedt het natuurpark betoverende landschappen voor skitochten of voor gezellige wandelingen met sneeuwschoenen. Wie de voorkeur geeft aan alpineskiën kan (ook 's nachts) rekenen op moderne faciliteiten en meer dan 60 km aan pistes om te skiën, snowboarden en langlaufen. Dankzij de vele speeltuinen en speciale activiteiten is het gebied bijzonder geschikt voor kinderen.
