Val di Ledro and Pile-dwelling Museum

A paradise for sportsmen and lovers of archaeology

Thanks to its location close to Lake Garda, Val di Ledro has a mild climate and is an ideal destination for relaxing and well-being holidays.

The territory is located within the tourist area called "Alto Garda", a large valley crossed by the Sarca river and bordered to the north by the Valle dei Laghi and to the south by the aforementioned Lake Garda and the Ledro valley.

Alto Garda has a Mediterranean climate that offers mild temperatures which in summer attract lovers of nature and sports. Windsurfing, sailing, climbing, mountain hikes and mountain bike tours are just some of the most significant activities.

The Ledro valley has a lush landscape full of green mountains and thick woods. Particularly striking are the emerald waters of Lake Ledro, a paradise for sports and relaxation lovers with four well-organized beaches.

On the lake, in Molina di Ledro, you can visit a village of pile-dwellings dating back to the Bronze Age. Since 2011 this site is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its archaeological significance. The village is made of a reconstruction of the pile-dwellings houses and a museum (completely renovated in 2019) where all the finds are preserved. This combination allows the visitor to rediscover the daily life of over 4,000 years ago.
