The Varone waterfall, about 3 km from Riva del Garda, is one of the most beautiful natural attractions of Upper Garda, whose access has been open to the public since the inauguration of 1874.
Since then, the Park-Cave of the Varone Waterfalls has been one of the favourite destinations for both Garda inhabitants and tourists, who can enjoy a pleasant stop thanks to free parking and the picnic area.
The gorge of the waterfall produces a spectacular fall of almost 100 meters of the waters of the Magnone stream, whose formation takes place in the nearby and spectacular Lake Tenno.
You can safely admire the sight both from above and below thanks to a series of walkways. From the ticket office you can access the observation point of the inner cave, where in addition to the fall of the water you can admire the work of erosion in over 20,000 years of history. From here it is possible to take a pleasant walk to go up through the park where you can visit the botanical garden and reach the upper cave. A 15-meter tunnel leads into a fantastic gorge from which you can admire the jump of the 100-meter waterfall.
