The Caldonazzo lake
One of the warmest lakes in the Alps for relaxation and water sports
Its six square km of surface, the Caldonazzo Lake is the largest lake that entirely belongs to the province of Trento.
For years now, this renowned body of water has obtained the prestigious international recognition of the “Blue Flag" for the quality of its waters and the services offered on site, including numerous campsites.
Thanks to its beaches, shores and equipped lakeside resorts that are located in different villages, like Calceranica, Caldonazzo, San Cristoforo and Tenna you can have fun in full safety with your family and even with your furry friend, since there are various dog-friendly beaches, which are locally called "Bau Beaches".
Caldonazzo Lake is suitable for swimming from May to September and thanks to temperatures reaching 24 C° it is considered one of the warmest lakes in the entire Alpine area. It is an ideal destination not only to relax on the beach and swim in its waters, but also to practice one of the many water sports: canoeing, SUP, windsurfing, fishing, sailing and even water skiing!
After a day of sun and relaxation, the fun continues in the bars and restaurants on the lakefront where you can enjoy typical Italian and Trentino cuisine or drink an aperitif with your friends.
